Van e gli altri in Utrecht

I was so lucky to have been invited by the organizers (Thanks again!) to come with them as a VIP to the evening show and the VIP after-party. I already had a ticket for the afternoon show, so I got to see the show twice. I was not the only one who was invited for this VIP thing, so we were all hanging out together during the day (with a few others). That alone was already so much fun! But then it was time for the afternoon show. I was sitting on the third row. Perfect! The show started with this music:



Then the curtain opened and we saw a beautiful montage. It gave me chills. Wow! This music was also used during this montage:




The first actor to be introduced was... Liz Hubbard! She's such a great person. And funny. They obviously talked about ATWT but also about her role as sexologist on GTST. Her story about having to give a dildo to a character was hilarious (so hilarious that later when Billy sang a song he dedicated it to "Liz and her dildo's" ).

The next actor to come on the stage was Van! YAY! I finally got to see him in real life. And he looked GOOD. Haha. In the interview they talked about how he became world news. Liz said that originally Lucinda wasn't going to react well to Luke coming out. She did NOT agree with this. So she kind of demanded to have that changed.

After Van it was time for Martha to come on the stage. They talked about how she left the show and that it was weird that her friends were auditioning for Lily. Martha also sang "Find My Way Back To You". She also said that because she was no longer on the show when it ended that she didn't really get to be a part of all the goodbyes. So she was glad that she got to say goodbye to ATWT during this event.

Then it was time for Paolo. They talked about what it was like to play the coming out storyline from a father's point of view.

After Paolo it was time for Marnie. She's such a sweetheart. They talked about how she started her career in porn...... on the show. Marnie said that she and Van did a whole tour of Amsterdam and that Van took her to the red light district where Marnie tried to talk to those women about different career paths. Marnie also said that she kept taking pictures of Heineken signs and that she only now realized that Heineken is Dutch.

Then Billy came on the stage. He started by singing a song. I like his voice. It was obvious that Billy was having a great time in Amsterdam.

Before every actor came on the stage they showed a montage of scenes. The reactions to Nuke were awesome. And for Billy's montage they had the perfect song: "I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt".




During the show you could win a meet & greet with the actors by answering quiz questions or by having the right color wristband. I didn't win a meet & greet. A lot of others from our group did win one.

Towards the end of the evening show there was also a marriage proposal on stage. A GAY marriage proposal. That was so awesome. And the actors' reactions to it were great too.

Because I was a "VIP" I got a special wristband so I could go to that after-party. I really had a great time. It was great to hear Martha being so enthusiastic about the event. Towards the end of the evening we finally got to meet Van. I usually don't really get starstruck, but like I said last night, when he started being so grateful to me I just didn't know what to say anymore. We took a picture together, I don't remember who has this picture, but as soon as I get it, I'll post it here.

I really have to share the story about the proposal because I'm just so excited about it. The guy who wanted to propose (Alberto) wrote on our fan page Friday night that he wanted to do something special for his boyfriend during the event but didn't know how. So I wrote back to him and said I could maybe help him out. So yesterday morning I told the producers about the proposal and they were really excited. Especially because it was the evening show and it would be a great ending to a great day. So the whole crew was game and I talked to Peter van der Vorst (the host) about the plan and he was really excited as well and was like "I'll find a way to let them be the last 2 on the stage". So they were put last in the line of couples during the quiz, and then Alberto got the mic and proposed. Everybody in the audience went crazy and the actor's reactions are priceless, it's so great that nobody told them about anything because it made it so much more special!
I literally cried during that moment because it was my little secret evening show project and I was soo happy that it all worked out. We talked about it with Van a little bit later and he said that the actors liked it a lot but they were afraid that Michaël (the boyfriend) was going to say "no", lol. Luckily that didn't happen

Allora come promesso vi racconto l'EPIC MOMENT dell'autografo, ho aspettato a raccontarvelo xk stavo aspettando la foto di Ann con annesso autografo.....
Premetto ke il tutto è successo il venerdì per puro caso durante un pranzo tra Ann e Paolo al bar dell'albergo( si sono incontrati privatamente x discutere sul libro, la promozione e autografare le foto x l'evento).
Dopo 10 minuti è arrivato Van .....Paolo lo ha kiamato e lo ha presentato ad Ann gli ha detto cosa faceva per lui riguardo il suo libro..
Van si è seduto con loro e Ann ha deciso di agire subito per la foto, a Van è piaciuta tantissimo dicendo :" ohhhhh how sweet!!!". e subito si è ricordato di tutte noi e di averci viste a Parigi.
Van mi ha riconosciuto dalla foto e per il mio tattoo e Paolo è rimasto molto sorpreso !!
Van oltre ad essere onorato x il mio gesto ha anche detto questa frase:"I hope that I will always be a successful actor ,if I don't have work as an actor and I become a waiter in a restaurant
Simona will have a tattoo of a waiter!e io aggiungo ....x me puoi anke finire a lavare i cessi !!
A questo punto è cominciato il momento epico: Van disse ke voleva scrivere qualkosa in italiano x noi sulla foto,e si è stata prp una sua idea!!! e ha kiesto a Paolo di aiutarlo.
Paolo ha kiesto a Van cosa volesse scrivere e lui ha detto :GOOD LUCK AND ALL THE BEST!allora Paolo ha tradotto il testo e ha cominciato a fare lo spelling ma andava troppo veloce e faceva errori.
In pratica Paolo ha detto BUNA dimenticando la O allora Ann ha urlato STOP!!! state sbagliando!! e Van ha urlato nooooo Paolo daiiii!!
A quel punto Ann ha suggerito di prendere l'altra copia e ricominciare ma Paolo ha detto ke nn era cosi grave come errore ma Van aveva il terrore di sbagliare, allora Ann ha detto a Van di non preoccuparsi xk lei parlava italiano e ke se Paolo avesse sbagliato lei lo avrebbe corretto in tempo.!!
Dopo aver autografato la foto Van si è fermato ancora con loro, Van ha parlato del suo nome dicendo ke nn gli piaceva xk in AMERICAN ENGLISH significa CASA.....
Ann poi gli ha kiesto se era la 1 volta per lui in Olanda e lui gli ha detto ke ci era già stato tempo prima come turista.Poi Van è andato via, e Ann ha pranzato con Paolo e Martha....
Io le avevo kiesto in precedenza se poteva fare foto o video ma x lei quell'incontro era privato solo cn Paolo-x lavoro- quindi nn aveva prp preso in considerazione di portare la macchina con sè come una classica fan!
Poi nei giorni seguenti nn ha avuto modo di vedere Van quindi questo regalo prezioso teniamocelo stretto stretto, pensavo ....meno male ke il venerdì aveva con sè la foto altrimenti nn sarebbe prp stato possibile averlo l'autografo.
Morale della storia: si è ricordato di noi.....di meeeeeeee del miooooo tattoooooooo ke io credevo nn avesse visto e invece pur nn avendolo commentato su fb lo ha visto quindi sono già + ke soddisfatta!!

P.S. ho omesso un gran particolare.....come mi ricordava Gabriella qll frase di Van è la stessa ke scrisse sotto il tattoo della Casali, quindi mi ha scambiato x lei ahaahahahha e il bello è ke la sua foto nn c'è sul foglio quindi nn si ricorda na mazza il buon Van!!!!!!!!!!!
Vabbè alla fine conta il risultato....la figura dell'inzallanuto l'ha fatta lui

ahhhh e ho dimenticato anke di scrivere ke cmq l'altra copia è andata a Van ok?
